And I thought I was old!Happy anniversary !!!!!
I was living in Lawrinson, while my first was living in Shaw. Back then Lawrinson was men only and Shaw was ladies only. As best I can re-call first mixed dorm was then called St Mary's which opened while I was there.
Same re "Shaw & Lawrinson when I was there. However, I recall Dellplain being the first mixed (by ends of the floor) in the early 70's. It definitely was in '72-73 because I had friends there and spent many hours.Happy anniversary !!!!!

I lived at Watson as well. Great mindsHappy Anniversary!
My late beloved and I would be celebrating our 45th this year, and we have SU to thank as well. I did my undergrad and grad work at SU and she did her grad work there. We were introduced a few years after all of that by the wife of my freshman roommate in Watson Hall.
Orange couples are the best! Have a great celebration!!
Happy, Happy, my friend! That's awesome...I lived in Day. It was fun taking those steps after a long night out lol. Congrats to you and yours! It's #44!

I was there 1966 to 1970. The Boland, Brewster, and Brockway Halls were initially and unofficially called St Mary's Complex until they got "officially" named. They opened as co-ed with men and women on alternating floors as best I can re-call.Same re "Shaw & Lawrinson when I was there. I have to admit not remembering a St Mary's at all unless it came after I left.
I entered in 1969 and now that I think about it, you are correct. I was trying to remember a St Mary’s dorm and had forgotten that that grouping of Brewster- Boland was collectively referred to as St Mary’s.I was there 1966 to 1970. After the game, I'll never forget getting back to our hotel on UM campus, sitting in the lobby with my buddies loudly saying Let's go Orange! and some hot coed came over who I wish became my future wife...and politley asked if we were from Syracuse and when we thought we were all that, we said yes...and she said you guys effin suck! and stormed off. We sat if shocked silence for 5 seconds, and then burst out laughing, then got up screaming Let's Go Orange! headed out the front door to the bars.oh how I wish I had gone to that game, to have some bragging rights with my wife...
