With a limited budget, HC needs to be offensive guy

I know of a long-time experience college head coach who had some success in college building up a bottom-tier program, who went to the NFL and failed, and would love to probably get back into the college game and run a program again. And he probably would love to get into a major conference like the ACC and run a program there and he probably would be a realistic get for a school the size of SU if they offered him a fair contract, and he has ties to Florida and New Jersey and can recruit those regions of the country His name...Greg Schiano. Screw that. He's a douche.

Oh please. You guys crack me up. I don't want him to become head coach either, but yeah, you guys are just going to stop being fans altogether?

2 requirements for any new HC. Has to have HC experience and has to bring in Kevin Rogers as QB coach at least and maybe OC.

Yes. It'd be one more stupid decision by a program that's made plenty of them already. He's a horrible coach. Have some pride.

Let it go already for the love of god

If we had any pride, and were willing to walk away from the program, you could have shut down all the boards after the 2007 season when we didn't make a move. That's probably the dumbest coaching decision the school has ever made and will ever make.

Past mistakes don't mean to continue making them.

Best QB coach we've ever had.

I would take Schiano... i hate to say it, but I would. He could possibly be next in line if Hoke gets booted at Michigan

Best QB coach we've ever had.

I could be a good QB coach if I had Marvin Graves and Donovon McNabb to coach and a D offense that fit those guys perfectly.

I think he and that offense would fit Hunt much better, but those days are over. Either physical or stress issues or both made him leave BC during the season and was a big reason why they imploded.

He's OC at his alma mater, they are doing well, he's over 60, it's time to move on.

Philcox? And maybe those players don't become what they did without Rogers. I know MCNabb gives him full credit for making him an NFL QB. None of them, including McNabb were heavily recruited.

There is more to college football than just SU

The assistants thing is the big elephant in the room here. We have to commit to investing in Class A assistants. They really determine the fate of the program.

He was at Navy when Philcox was here. P hired him when he took over. Bill Maxwell was the QB coach under Mac

Not happening. Our HC needs to be a two for one. Get some offense guy who doesn't want to hand the keys off and hire any bum to be OC. Kinda like Payton with Marrone

It's not just OC though. You need legit assts. go look at what Bama pays their inside lb coach. Inside lb...

Double duty HC frees up lots of money

McNabb was a top 5 QB as a senior in high school according to sporting news and had a Nebraska offer. I wouldn't say he was lightly recruited either

Once again we see Stern in his glory - he loves it when the Orange struggles.

Only SU and Nebraska recruited him as a QB. Because he was a runner not a passer.
