I thought i saw brooks say "im sorry" to k after the game. Gimme a break, coach k isnt the god of basketball, get off your high horse. I guess this is where grayson allen gets it from. AMAZING!

From twitter:

Dillon Brooks said Coach K told him in handshake line, "I'm too good of a player to be showing off at the end." Brooks: "He's right."

Lost a lot of respect for him this year. Total crybaby and classless as hell when they lose. Worry about your own team. You got taken to the woodshed tonight. No need to make a kid feel bad. What an ass. Coming from the coach who has had a player trip someone on purpose on numerous different occasions and do nothing about it.

I thought what he said was fine. I'm amazed with the thread. The guy's not perfect but he's as classy as there is. The kid handled it very well also. Much ado about nothing.

How was it fine? The guy played the game of his life in the biggest game of his life and k is gonna criticize him?? Coach k is not his coach. Its the job of oregon's coach to tell his player if he did something wrong. If K doesnt want an opposing player "showing off" then maybe his team should play better and not let it happen.

Total bushleague classless move by K, making a kid feel bad in that kind of moment. It stinks of being a sore loser. And what brooks did wasnt anything crazy anyway.

"If you were a good coach, you wouldn't encourage Grayson Allen's equalizing end-of-game, not a basketball play, falling down, flinching, flopping antics that keep Duke in the game way longer than any other team." This would have been the proper response.

Not really. That is for the kids coach to tell him. Not K. K should coach his own team. Allen has been a punk not once but twice this year.

Would K be happy if Leonard Hamilton went up to Allen and told him he was to good to be tripping ppl? K is above it all until he isn't. It is the Duke way.

Reasonable minds can disagree. Is this a huge deal? No. The comment to the kid was ok, not great but ok, the press conference was a bit ridiculous (and disingenuous) but not a huge deal. But in my view big loss by big loss Coach K is cementing his legacy as one of the least gracious losers in the history of major college basketball.

At least he did not walk past him.

If JB were not best friends with K we would be roasting him. JB was professing some pretty serious man love for him.

K and post game handshakes.

It's no peanut butter and jelly combo.

Although, K denies even saying it.
