Worst Team in ACC?

so last time I checked the scores from this year don't carry over to next year

Here is what is carrying over:

This program has had 8 or more losses in 7 out of the last 13 seasons.

The program record since the 2002 season is 61-97 for a winning percentage of 39%

Not the worst team ... Worst offensive and one of the worst specials

But the D was there all year long ... They were far from the worst

So...you have evidence from this year that shows we will surpass them next year??

I see more of the same.
no but saw no evidence coming into this year that they would pass us either. That's my point who the hell knows what to expect heading into next year as most had this team pegged for a bowl before the year started. The first game this year was a complete tell on our lack of playmakers when we didn't blow out villanova even with Hunt getting tossed for being a moron. Then losing to Maryland even though we totally outplayed them most of game. Notre Dame game was a missed opportunity as they tried to give us the game and we lost Terrell Hunt who despite the bashing on here was clearly our most important offensive player with regards to making a bowl game. From that point on the season was lost with no Hunt with regards to his running ability and making up for our poor offensive line play. AJ played ok for a freshman but Kimble and Wilson were dreadful. Aj,Hunt and Alin should be competing for the starting qb job.

Look this year was a lost year and we all want the program to turn around and Go Orange

take a quick look at how much of the D will be gone next year

So, let me get this straight...

We were decent to good last year, leading to optimism this year...

We were atrocious this year, but you are more optimistic that we will be better next year after witnessing this years atrocities?

Got it, makes sense.

At this rate of being bad we're only a few years away from the NC.

I never said I was optimistic its not a given were terrible

We played K--State in the Pinstripe a few years ago - They are now ranked and going to a bowl.
We played Minnesota last year in a bowl - They are now ranked and going to a bowl.

Why can't we turn the corner like those teams?

there coaches are more experienced and playing in arguable easier leagues(b10 is easier, big 12 is tossup but Kansas tips scales)

Both those teams pummeled us.

NC State barely beat us - we were playing 3rd stringers on the Oline, a freshman QB. They had a 4 star transfer at QB.

That's what people said this offseason. Our front 4 weren't very good, who would make up for Bromley, etc. We'll be fine.

our entire coaching staff left.. If marrone and Co are around, days like today arent happening

Really? If Marrone and Co. are still around, our recruiting classes are worse than the talent level we are complaining about now...

Please, our coaching makes our talent look bad. Combine that with injuries and you have our current grob situation
With Marrone here and Hackett, we are a threat in the ACC

we could go 10-2 next year we could go 1-11

Who the ^%#% knows. All I know is Shafer has one more year to show us.

As I just said...If Marrone and Co are still her the last 2 very talented classes aren't HERE.

but we had veteran depth, just not with much "star power"

according to SU's official depth chart from today's game, the following are the total number of 1 & 2nd string player (and starters)

DL: 5 players (3 starters)
LB: 3 (2)
DB: 3 (2)

Returning underclassman starters:

DL: 1
LB: 1
DB: 2

But we would have more wins. I'll take more wins every time.

Of course but that is not a guarantee, especially with less talent. bothsocksup thinks it is some sort of guarantee.

Nothing is a guarantee but my point is, Marrone did a lot more with much less talent for most of the time he was here. He also didn't get blown out game after game. There are a ton of teams with a lot less talent than we have that are more successful on offense, the current coaching staff isn't getting it done.

marrone also wasn't playing in the acc

I'll set the over/under at 10...for the number of times in the offseason that someone here starts a thread all indignant about how SU is being disrespected by some media story.
