i wonder what proportion of the total mississippi college enrollment goes to those 2 schools. probably pretty high but i'm just guessing.

Yes, Moo SU (20K students) and Ole Miss (19K) are the largest. The only other large school is Southern Miss (Bret Favre's school) @ 15K in Hattiesburg.

True, my neighbor drives 4 hours to Oxford for Ole Miss games; I don't think it's uncommon either.

I agree it's pretty common for a lot of schools. For example, while Richmond is 1 hour away, driving from the other main areas within Va is at least 2 hours to UVa games. There are some of our fans who semi-regularly come to the game from NC.
