it's natural to wonder because we'll probably be favored in every game... but we can start talking about this when there are maybe 3 games left in the regular season. it's so premature at this point, it's absurd.

That said I don't think anyone should root for them to lose before the NCAAs - or under any circumstance. Losing can do just as much to affect a team's psyche as the pressure of continuing to play well. If they do lose, let's hope it's because the other team played out of their minds and not because of anything our players started getting complacent or sloppy.

I don't usually agree with you, but you're right to be cautiously positive on this topic. I just don't think its realistic to think a team will go undefeated in this day and age. We have had great starts before and each time ended with multiple losses. That doesn't mean the season can't be a smashing success, just that we have a very difficult conference schedule, a long season and a nagging penchant for losing a couple in a row at some point in late Jan. / early Feb.

1999 - 2000 started 19-0 finished 26-6
2010 - 2011 started 18-0 finished 27-8
1986-1987 started 15-0 finished 31-7

Enjoy this season, but don't let your expectations get so high that you can't enjoy a truly great season if we lose a game or two along the way.
