Are you hinting at we “selected” one over the other? With some of the recent commits we’ve pulled that would be ridiculous.

I’ve pretty much written 7/5 commitment off so any miracle would just be a cherry on top. I just can’t comprehend how the highest recruit ever, by a long shot, would be playing coy for some reason or the other. For the benefit of him and the Syracuse program, I would want him screaming it from the rooftops to whoever he talks with that he’s going to Cuse or strongly considering, in order to attract more top talent and have some respect put on our name.

Just remember that even if he doesn’t say Syracuse on 7/5/2025. There is a complete football season between then and signing day. There is more overall talent, a lot of it young on this team then any going back to the late 1990's. This coaching staff learned a lot last year,
Young talent can grow up fast, and as much as people loved the offense. Point wise it wasn't good too many missed opportunities.
Instances where we missed field goals or settled for them.
The defense really didn't give up a lot of points except Pittsburgh, and that wasn't their fault.
That's why I believe we can win 9 or 10 games. If we score more efficiently, and the defense, and coaching gets better we will shock the nation.

Look I thoroughly enjoyed last year but our defense gave up 38 to Miami, 41 to UNLV, 300 yards rushing to Ohio and so on and so forth. I agree FGs were a problem and honestly our punt protection was even worse. Hell we were down by a good bit to VT and allowed 31 to their backup QB, and a healthy chunk to a skeleton crew WSU as well.

Okay, so I never divulge information in VIP articles, because I gotta respect the work of other media members, but just to set the record straight: while Syracuse wasn't mentioned in the post on X from Wiltfong, Syracuse was mentioned in the VIP article. Nothing more and nothing less should be construed from that. The responsibility for creating "false hope" falls to the reader for not understanding (maybe "appreciating" is a better word) that dynamic.

Agree 100%. Those like Richmondcuse03 and our other insiders who post what they are hearing (note I didn’t say what they know, because kids change their minds) are doing the board a truly amazing and excellent service. All they are saying is have hope. Hope is a good thing, not something to bash.
