Calvin Russell is going to be a dangerous weapon in this offense. Stepping into the role that JRS once held, he has the skill set to stretch the field vertically and consistently come down with those tough 50/50 balls. His speed and body control make him a legitimate deep threat, while his competitiveness ensures he’ll battle for every catch. Of course, he’ll need to add some weight and continue developing his frame to handle the physicality of college defenses, but that will come with time in the strength program. What really sets him apart is his mindset—he’s not afraid of the work, and that drive will allow him to grow into a reliable playmaker who defenses have to account for every snap. If he keeps progressing, he could evolve into a difference-maker who changes how opponents defend this offense.

Would love to bring in Nick Lennear, the 5 star 6'-0" 165 lbs WR, in the 2027 class! His boy Calvin would be a Sophomore. Cook would be a senior in his freshman year and he seems likely to be a slot guy. Seems like excellent timing and great situation to me.

Also boobie Johnson would be a redshirt sophomore and Amare gough will be a redshirt freshmen or true sophomore. We could soon become WRU in the ACC.

But yes Boobie, Deangelo Thompson and Erich Thomas all went to his HS and came to SU in the 2025 class. Those dudes are worth mentioning as well.
