Class of 2026 WR Calvin Russell (FL) COMMITTED TO SYRACUSE (7/5/25)

Might need to up the 💰 on him.
Calvin knows that he will have Angeli next year and he will be surrounded by talent. Fran will have to make a decision about the D. He made a great move bringing Coyle in to help ERob, but unfortunately Coyle left. We need to bring in another guy to fill that role to support ERob. The O will be really good. Backup QB will either be Carney or someone else that we bring in.

Still need a strong finish — have to get to a bowl at the very least. Amare is still being recruited by Virginia, and they’ve got momentum after that win. Cooper is on his way to Boulder for a visit. Steven, the OL from IMG, is getting heavy attention from other schools. Wilson is being recruited hard by in-state programs like UCF and FSU. And of course, Calvin is still being heavily pursued by Miami. Just need to get to a bowl and hold on to these guys.

Do our recruits care if we make a bowl game? It doesn't matter much to them. They want to know what they will be a part of next year. This sucks for us fans, but I doubt many, if any recruits care about this. They know we lost QB1. They know what Fran is building.

If this is true then we hold on to all of these guys then.

Fran will hold on to most if not all. Be careful putting too much weight in to what you read on "sites". Listen to our insiders, they know WAYYYYY more than those sites. They are slaves to the fanbases and will write stories panning to them.

My mom told me if i don't have anything nice to say not to say it. So I'm just gonna a let everyone in this thread know that I have thoughts and theyre not nice.

I'm sure your mom is awesome, and that is great advice. However, this is a college football message board. It is a chance to unload respectfully. Respectfully, Rickie seems to be a nice young man, but he lacks the intangibles to be a successful top level college QB.

I’m also a little nervous after this atrocious performance, and with how well Miami has played
Miami was always going to be better than us. Yeah today was pathetic but I highly doubt it factors in. Esp with Angeli coming back

I mean today was VERY pathetic, I can definitely see it factoring in. QB aside, the defense was awful, why would he want to come here and have to rely on carrying a defense every outing?

I’m allergic to grass sorry
Not me

Because, outside of today, we have a high scoring offense that throws a lot. WRs like catching a lot of passes and he’s a WR? Seems appealing to me if I’m a WR.
