Class of 2024 WR Elijah Moore (MD) TRANSFERRING TO SYRACUSE (1/9/26)

This reminds me of Umari Hatcher when he transferred. This guy seems to have some ability and I hope the coaches can harness it.

Hatcher transferred?

i love when people get surprised with the stats at some of these transfers.

its not like they weren’t a system fit and just simply didn’t workout and got passed by or anythingggg….

Oh, so I asked a stupid question?

I feel better about WR’s or DB’s that get buried on factory depth charts as opposed to QB’s or OL’s.

We would have been pooping ourselves to land this guy out of high school. I think considering the health of our WR depth chart including the incoming Freshman class, this is a good value add with a lot of upside if he pans out. We’ve already seen the impact a guy like this can have when with just a strong senior year like Jamal Custis or Amba Etta Tawo.

Syracuse landed Florida State redshirt freshman wide receiver Elijah Moore via the transfer portal in January 2026, adding him as a potential playmaker for their offense after he played sparingly at FSU. This Elijah Moore is a different player than the prominent NFL receiver Elijah Moore who previously played for Ole Miss and was with the Browns, Jets, and Broncos.
Key Details:

  • Who: Elijah Moore, a wide receiver from Florida State.
  • Where to: Syracuse Football program.
  • When: Committed in January 2026.
  • Why: Moore was buried on FSU's depth chart and sought more playing time, making Syracuse a good fit for his potential, according to Sports Illustrated and roundtable.io. Google

We are really getting some big athletic bodies at receiver. Then we have some small, quick, fast receivers. We really have nothing in between lol

Screw it ... I have 4 years of eligibility ... put me in coach ... I'm may be 48 but I can run in a straight line ... sort of. if it works for Baylor basketball its good enough for Cuse football.

You’d like for us to land some medium sized, unathletic, slow receivers?

Too bad my college eligibility is expired, I’d be perfect for that role!
