Class of 2026 WR E'Shawn Sutton (FL) Flipped to CMU

Its not really about doing things different than other schools, Its more about getting the kids to buy in to doing it., Every school has a core of kids committed to the process. The more that do the better they succeed. Just like any other job. Some schools overcome issues because of more talent, but for schools like SU they will never have that advantage.

What does dart have to do with this or recruiting in general? Dart is a slogan to get kids to buy into and work hard. Every coach has them, Fran just happens to publicly preach his. People are way too hung up on a team slogan.
I’m not sure what DART has to do with it anyway. This situation has nothing to do with being Detailed, Relentless or Tough. Are we saying Fran wasn’t Accountable because he contacted a kid directly mid season that we were going in a different direction because we needed more roster spots for upperclassman transfers?

DART came up in conversation a few pages back.

If the Orlando Sentinel article is truthful, your last comment isn’t accurate with respect to the “mid season” part. Sutton was contacted by Fran days after the Notre Dame game which is late November. The article said Sutton was set to graduate in December so he may have been a potential January enrollee at Syracuse. Fran told him that he was pulling his offer and going the portal route instead.

So if that timeline is accurate, Fran really left the kid scrambling if he thought he was going to Syracuse in January until he was told in late November the offer was off the table.

Sorry - “during the season”.

Yes the timing wasn’t great but obviously there was a lot going on with 3-8 and a complete defensive staff reorg in process.
