No. That's not how it works in Canada. A lot of these kids go to a post grad prep.
What is a cégep, anyway? It’s an acronym from the French term Collège d’enseignement general et professionnel, which means General and professional teaching college. In Quebec, Canada, it’s a public school that provides the first level of post-secondary education.
Cégep starts after the 11th grade. Kids stay for varying amounts of time (I played college ball with someone who did four years of Cégep), but it’s typically two years.
It’s fair to look at a Cégep kid the same way you would a Milford kid. They come with all of their eligibility, but are a year older (however they didn’t have the option to not attend).
