It’s not only about what positions we are willing to pay for. It’s also about successfully recruiting that position and convincing the player to want you over the other schools at that position. We can sell the WR spot more right now than some others. Hopefully after next year that changes with the coaching upgrades we’ve made creating better results at those positions and then we can start convincing OL and DL and LB’s.

In all fairness, Tom Loy of 247Sports reported in early January about Nick's top 5. As I think I've mentioned here, SU coaches are working to (hopefully) get Nick on campus for a visit, I've been told.

I would think it would bode well for SU to be included at this point. Historically, we are such an outlier in that group, I take it to mean we are a serious contender. Otherwise, just add another Titan to the mix.

I feel less optimistic about this one than I did Calvin. We have a very young WR core and it's going to be hard to offer the type of money to land him (I think). I could be wrong and we always have a shot with Fran involved.

It's a great question. I candidly have no idea. From my perspective, I didn't necessarily think Calvin would play past the first season in hoops, but that's not inside info or from a source. We shall see. Miami is def the favorite for Nick. But SU is in this thing.

that is true. I was pretty confident for a reason on that one. We had a lot of unique factors in our advantage.
