WR Nykeim Johnson transferring to Kent St

Hope he finds himself on a really good team

Wish him the best.

Excited to see who gets a crack now between Williams and CJ. Maybe even Hatcher?

I can't blame him. Grad transfer guys have a great chance to experience another part of the country with minimal personal expense before hitting the real world. What an opportunity. I'd take advantage of it and go somewhere I've always wanted to explore.

We can plug and play wrs with decent qb play, hopefully some these open schollies going to transfers

College ball is starting to feel like NFL free agency in some regards (without the $$$ being thrown around - unless you are in the SEC ).
Can't blame any of the kids, I can understand the draw to see what you can do in a new environment.

I bet he goes to a top 25 program as a punt returner.

I always wonder. Is it a case of the player wanting to leave or does the coaching staff say, it’s time to move on? Or a bit of both?

In Cam Jordan's case he wasn't even part of the team. In Nykiem's case I'd imagine it's his decision. I also imagine Gilbert is moving Harris to the slot and they're going with Courtney Jackson or JaVonte Williams as the 4th. Writing was maybe on the wall.

I expect to hear from Sharrod Johnson shortly to.

Im guessing the player wanting to leave. IMO we have better pieces to fill the WR position. He’s a great returner and probably wants a team that’ll guarantee him time at WR, whereas I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s not guaranteed here. The coaches clearly value him at returner and as a leader.
