Either our WRs are getting better or our DBs are not good.  It should be noted, all of the long TDs were made against freshman defensive backs playing in their first public college game. It won’t be so easy playing against experienced ACC cornerbacks.  Can these guys get open against those type players?  Can our OL hold off the rush so our QBs have time for these plays to develop?  Can our QBs make the throws?

I will say, the coaches have to be thrilled a bunch of long passes for touchdowns were caught on film. It’s almost like it was designed that way, to try and scare ACC defensive coordinators, and discourage them from using that press coverage that has been so effective against us for so many years.

To me, by far the biggest key for success in the coming season lies with our ability to make big passing plays with our wide receivers.  Just a few each game that’s all we need.
