At $378 million, North Carolina’s men’s basketball team has the highest valuation in the sport, according to a new analysis by Ryan Brewer, an associate professor of finance at Indiana University Columbus. That ranked No. 1, just ahead of archrival Duke ($370 million), making the two schools on Tobacco Road the only teams that eclipsed $300 million in total value.

Indiana, which failed to make the tournament, placed third at $279 million, while the Gators ($121 million) checked in 31st. Houston ($81 million) was even further down the list at No. 58.

This is why Syracuse and North Carolina both need significantly better coaches (if Red doesn’t prove to have the chops) and should be able to land them when the time comes. Our home revenue potential alone is the highest in the nation.
I totally agree as we have a 30000 plus weapon that no one hasin college basketball. We need to spend to get back to that way of winning. We also have to get back to playing extremely hard cause most sports people like to see aggressive in your face play.

We rich.

I’m curious as to the methodology of the valuation of a college basketball program. Like how is Illinois‘s program possibly more valuable than Kentucky’s?
