Going out on a big limb:

Just another exciting day of hysteria at the WVU realignment fiction board as various "insiders" simultaneously post:

1) FSU and Clemson to the Big 12 with ND as partial member this weekend

2) ND as partial or full ACC member today.

Where the "true believers" endlessly speculate on the nuances of these exciting "moves".

And the "insiders" endlessly adjust their "prophecies" to the "moving target".

And "where there's smoke, there's fire"

Interesting no one ever admits the smoke was started by some 30 something loser living in his mom's basement.

Really? ND, FSU, BOT's, AD's etc all took their lead from some dude in WV?

The "Dude" is now telling his sycophants that Swofford has made an 11th hour appeal to Oliver Luck and WVU President Clement imploring them to join the ACC in orderto save the ACC from total collapse. See. It has been about WVU all along. Not Notre Dame or Texas or FSU. Either that or the Dude and his followers are among the more computer savvy residents of the Chestnut Ridge Psychiatric Hospital in Morgantown.

Saw that too and decided I had enough. Closed thread.

Has anyone pointed out to the dude that if academics were being ignored for athletics the ACC would just grab L'ville and not have to try and raid the Big 12 for a team they've already denied.

In that scenario L'ville does nothing to appease FSU or Clemson. Where as WVU does in their fan's minds.

Would the ACC survive if FSU and Clemson left and ND joined as a full member with a 2nd school? Does that equal stability? (totally hypothetical)

That would leave ND, VT, Miami and GT as the top football schools left. So yeah I think it would stabilize things.

There's no West Virginia. How can there be stability?

They're just all riled up about not being picked by the ACC and know they can't say anything about the SEC so they're going all hilly hot over this. It's quite obvious that the WV fans do not want to be in the Big 12 or feel very uncomfortable there without having some schools near them in the conference and trying to damage the ACC with floods of misinformation is a way to do so. Their theory is if you say something enough times maybe some people will start to believe it with Daddy Uncle Daddy Earl aka the dude being the mouthpiece for this. Chip Brown, the mouth piece for Texas, of course will pick this up as well because it fits the Texas and their minions agenda as well.

A&M is starting to out recruit Texas and a desperate Texas could make things interesting.

Perhaps the fault on all this are 'Cuse graduates. We tend to be logical and judicious in our statements; what a unique means to communicate. For example, why would Notre Dame be considering the Big 12 except for dollars it doesnt need. There is no fit there academically, geographically, and culture...oh yes, Texas as a national brand and Notre Dame could dominate the Big 12--probably why other teams in conference do not want Notre Dame...
