Oofa
They did and what we should have done is moved our rover to cover the slot and forced the zone run as our LB's were much stronger than our CB's so making a choice of two negatives i would have played more man to man with our Lb's and taken away the pass with our roverIn a real life example, I think Notre Dame ran this play against us a lot last season. We kept having our alley defender attack the QB, who then kept throwing the bubble to the backside slot receiver. Their backside WR did a great job blocking our corner (he was always way bigger and stronger) and they got solid yardage every time they ran this.
Except a couple times they unwisely tried to run it at Reddish, who was excellent getting off the block and blew up a couple passes for no gain.
You need 2 Reddish type CBs to effectively defend this play against a good offense. Last year we had one. This year, it is too early to say but I am worried we might have none.
Lol, no, but my lovely bride's family was straight off the boat. I've picked up a couple phrases. You Italian?

Oofa is quintessential Italian and not something I hear American-Italians say.
Not 100% sure about this but I also think it is northern and not southern.
Where in Italy are they from?
BrenneroNo wonder you are one of my favorites. My Mom was straight from the old country...last northern city in Italy.![]()

That's why I took LT 1st overall in the Tecmo draft we held 3 years back. That was damn fun!Only 2 people can defend these plays. Bruce Smith and Lawrence Taylor.
