Yeah, call me a snob, but I'd rather take guys that want more PT than they are getting at other P4 schools, like Cuffe. Mid majors are dangerous to play because they often have guys that while they aren't as big or athletically gifted as bigger schools' players, they have been playing together and in the same system for a few years.

Taking seniors out of those situations is the worst of both worlds. You get dudes who didn't have the gifts to get recruited more highly and take them out of the situation that allows them to compete with and beat those that did. Put them in a new system with all new teammates and ask them to play against Texas, North Carolina, Tennesse, and Duke. It's not a recipe for success, only you really downshift your definition of success. Which, TBF, it's starting to sound like the school has done.
Yea I agree with this for the most part. Obviously there are exceptions, some players do improve, some were just missed by the big schools and some that landed at a big school shouldn’t have. etc. Its a crap shoot really.

That’s why I think taking 3 players from smaller schools in one year and think all of them would pan out well was alot to expect.

However, based on the circumstances we were dealing with we needed to field a team. So all things considered I think the coaches put together a solid roster.
Some thought we could be done recruiting and then we landed Petar which helped diversify the roster a bit. Also think Taylor was a late add, better to have him thàn not.

My main concern leads me back to the point of this whole thread. Player rotations and minutes. Im not sure what the exact answer is but its clear what we are currently doing is not right.
Id say less JQ ànd more Moore&Cuffe for sure.
If Bell is not scoring and not offerring much of anything maybe more 3 guard lineups. Get Taylor, Moore ànd Cuffe in there for a defensive spark. Which will help on OFF. Obvs Moore can provide OFF spark too and Ive made my thoughts on Cuffe clear, he can spark Def, Off and fast breaks.
Davis gets his 15minutes+
Freeman gets as much as he deserves game to game. 15-35 min.
Lampkin gets whatever he can give.

We might be able to play more 3 guard with the better rebounders we have.
But bla bla bla.
