Yea I agree with this for the most part. Obviously there are exceptions, some players do improve, some were just missed by the big schools and some that landed at a big school shouldn’t have. etc. Its a crap shoot really.Yeah, call me a snob, but I'd rather take guys that want more PT than they are getting at other P4 schools, like Cuffe. Mid majors are dangerous to play because they often have guys that while they aren't as big or athletically gifted as bigger schools' players, they have been playing together and in the same system for a few years.
Taking seniors out of those situations is the worst of both worlds. You get dudes who didn't have the gifts to get recruited more highly and take them out of the situation that allows them to compete with and beat those that did. Put them in a new system with all new teammates and ask them to play against Texas, North Carolina, Tennesse, and Duke. It's not a recipe for success, only you really downshift your definition of success. Which, TBF, it's starting to sound like the school has done.
