It seems like he shines a lot more as a scorer than a distributor. It'd be interesting to see our offense operate without him trying to fill the role of a true PG.

with kaleb last year I thought there was ability there, but I thought he was at least a year away physically. things can change a lot for kids that are 17-18-19 and I like kaleb's game, but will he be physically ready to compete in the most competitive college basketball league ever. he may be another year away and hopefully we are able to absorb that scholarship wise to let this kid develop. I see some carl krauser in him.

It's a good sign and like others I wonder what roll he was playing. On the ball, off the ball ect. Also orngehomer brings up a great point about physicality. I think a lot will depend on weather or not Joseph has gotten stronger.
We have a long history of skinny frosh getting stronger, and better. Joseph fits that mold. Seems obvious, no?

I believe it will be the case. He has the raw materials IMO. I also wonder about tweeking his roll in the offense.

While getting physically stronger, Kaleb needs to strengthen mentally even more.

I think being a lead dog for this team and being basically taken off the leash, which it sounds like he has been, will help with that mental aspect. He'll be aggressive and his confidence will jump. Plus, Jimmy is frequently easier on a kid as a sophomore than he was when he was a freshman whipping boy.

Nobody stands around in tavern or they sit the bench. The zone is very effective when played actively, not standing around, I thought you would know that. That is the difference between your "tavern defense" and the zone that JB employs. Five long athletes moving together as a cohesive unit, I know it doesn't scare you, but most coaches around the country respect if not fear the Syracuse zone.
