those of you who think we should not say anything. I have experience at this. I worked for a large investment corp. The gov went after us for some things we did not do. The newspapers, both national, came at us hard. Our lawyers had all of us remain quiet. Every day we got smacked in the press. Nothing ever came of the inquiry, but we were still damaged. We should have got out in front of the story. Time and time again, we see when charges are made, if you don't deny them right away, they stick.

JB and the University (the appropriate parties) are fully out in front of the story. Potential defendants in a criminal investigation should stay quiet.

I certainly do not think we should say nothing. I do, however, believe we should think before we speak. Unfortunately, when a lifelong friend's reputation is at stake that isn't likely going to happen.

Just as Davis and Lang can be tripped up with silly little lies or exaggerations, so can those who try to defend Bernie. And in both cases, neither side need be truly "lying" if they believe what they are saying is indeed the truth.
