Cheating a bit by shifting DC to the 5, but he played there as a junior.

Not saying that these are the BEST at their respective positions, BUT here's my logic:

• Sherman precludes the need for a traditional 2. Owens and Coleman provide complimentary ball handling
• Nichols isn't a 2, but in this lineup he doesn't need to be. He'd be a plus defender at his size, whether man or zone.
• Post up game would be unbelievable with Jdub and DC
• Can't believe I didn't add Anthony.
• This team would run a lot of teams off of the floor. Can you imagine how well they'd rebound, and how they'd push the ball with 2 guys in Owens / Coleman that could legitimately initiate the fast break?
• They'd be fun as hell to watch.

Same logic, different result! I shifted DC also. I picked Addison along with Pearl for the same reason you picked DNic along with Sherm. Melo and DC would be incredible post up O. And I can't believe I didn't pick Wallace.

I’m only going to go with guys I saw, so no Bing or Bouie.

First Team:
PG – Sherman (although by the time I finish typing this I might change my mind to Pearl)
SG – Gerry – 2nd ball handler and big shot after big shot
SF – Melo – could do it all and did it all in his 1 year
PF – DC – I know some people put him as a center but from what I read in Boeheim’s book DC is adamant he is a PF and I don’t want to get him angry
C – Rony – great low post scorer and a very good rebounder

Second Team:
PG – Pearl – could easily switch him and Sherman.
SG – Moten – our all-time leading scorer has to be on there somewhere
SF – Billy – possibly the most skilled all around player in SU history
PF – Wallace – the ultimate SU one man gang and had as much swagger as anyone
C – AO – Low post scoring and immovable in the zone D

I'm only going from when I started watching the team - last season at Manley - to the present.
I will make it simple by choosing my personal faves at each position.

PG - Sherm
SG - Moten
SF - Fair (i guess he played at both positions)
PF - Wallace
C - Bouie

If you rule out Fair for SF, then Addison would slot in.

Santifer only played SF for one season, maybe season and a half. I would have loved to put him in since he is pretty much my fave Orange (or tied with Moten).
