YouTubeTV

This article is about DirecTV Satellite but has a relationship to what's on YouTubeTV. The article discusses the addition of channels on DirecTV Satellite that will show sporting events shown on Peacock. I've already seen added channels 619 and 619-1 (listed as NBCS1 and NBCS2) and they are available to me even though I don't get Peacock through DirecTV as the article discusses. I see two English Premier Leagues games scheduled for Saturday on ch. 619. Those same games will be on YouTubeTV on the NBC Sports Network channel. I wonder if DirecTV is adding these channels instead of adding NBCSN. I also wonder whether YouTubeTV will add additional channels to show more than one live event on Peacock at the same time.

A key question is whether NBCSN on YouTubeTV and these special Peacock channels on DirecTV will show the Ravens at Green Bay game on the night of Dec 27th which is only scheduled to be on Peacock.

Too bad they both don't include games on ACCNX like SU basketball and lacrosse games that are only on there.
Use the ESPN app on your streaming device and you're all set.
Works on FireTV, Roku, AppleTV, my iPad & iPhone and anywhere else where you use your ESPN app.

Thanks. I do and I agree. But I think we'll find that if they include additional ESPN streaming channels directly on YouTubeTV, which I think they are going to, they'll be easier to use on YouTubeTV than on the ESPN app. I find pausing and fast forwarding games on the ESPN app is more clunky and harder to do than programs on YouTubeTV. And if it's on YouTubeTV you can more easily go back and forth between that game and other programing and pick up where you left off. I'm not so sure you can do that with programming on the ESPN app. My point is that apparently YouTubeTV is going to include as separate channels some programing of ESPN+ events just like DirecTV Satellite is doing already. I was just lamating that that too bad they don't also do the same with ACCNX games. Who knows, maybe they will.

Right now, I think the difference is minimal betw leaving the YTTV ecosystem and going to the applicable app, whether it’s ESPN, Amazon, Apple, or whatever.
The “killer” app, however, would be if they were able to integrate these games into the multiview format.

I don't know why you couldn't on YTTV. I've haven't tried since I rarely use it, but can you create your own multi view on YTTV? Does the ESPN app have multi view?

Multiview is barely functional even on YTTV. Unless you have a 65+ tv its just a bit better than using the ticker to keep track of a game. Now if they let you choose a game and it resized the picture that would be a better product.

You can watch up to 4 games using multi view on YTTV. It's easy to configure, reconfigure (change games in the multi view), switch between games, and works well on my 65" OLED.

To clarify this post, these are CW affiliates that have recently been added by YouTube TV to local areas, for any fans who might live in those areas.
CW is a weird one in the Utah market. It doesn't show up in the channel guide, but I can record and watch all the CW shows, and when we have games I can watch them live.

CW in syracuse directv works on the Sat but not on the stream, so thats a pain. Its also low def so not a great picture.

During this time of the year we put out a 2nd TV in the living room.

The boss (my wife) typically wants to watch something on the main TV during the week and I can keep track of one or multiple games on the other TV. If there's a Syracuse game on, or a major playoff game, then that will be the primary... she does like sports.

In the fall, we typically have 3-4 TVs out on the deck to watch our games and other interesting games.
It's a blast, especially when we have friends over for a Saturday Happy Hour/dinner.

For our Super Bowl party (20+ people) we'll have several TVs spread around the living room, kitchen, deck, etc.. Only the main TV has audio. I also run a betting board... $1/square... random numbers drawn after the board is full. We have winners for each quarter for the leading score as well as the reverse score just to make it interesting.

Can I come by on weekends? It sounds like the place to be.

I used to run a super bowl box pool where I paid out every scoring change, starting with 0-0 and included extra points. It kept it interesting for people who drew traditionally bad numbers in box pools (like 8s and 2s). I dont think it works well in $1 box pools, though, because it would water down the payouts too much.

$62.99 Promotional Offer for 6 months for new subscribers with Verizon home internet.

YouTubeTV adds 2 additional NBC Sports Network Channels - NBCSN 2 & NBCSN 3.

These will be used to show concurrent live sports events shown on Peacock, including during the Olympics

If you pushed two buttons at the same time, you got the channel where you could "massage the dial".
Those were the days, especially as a teenager who didn’t have access to certain magazines.
