We had 8 last year and it was fine, it still seemed like slim pickings on the waiver wire most of the time, especially when looking for relievers. 10 would be better though so I'm hoping to get a couple more.

Also, any other suggestions on how to operate the league are welcome so keep them coming.

i just signed up. my fantasy baseball league fell apart last year. Nice to get back in.

There was a late request to move the draft to a different night. Are there objections to holding it Thursday night instead? I don't want to move it from Wednesday unless we have a majority saying it's ok.

Please reply here or on the league message board.
 
Tomorrow is a little better for me, because my wife has her night class. I can do it Thursday, but I will get disapproving looks and be judged.

I'm a team player though.
 
Wednesday is better for me. I arranged to get off earlier from work so that I could make the draft. It'll be a challenge to now make the same request for Thursday.
 
I prefer Thursday myself but I can make either night work.
 
DRAFT TIME ADJUSTED!

I didn't get any strenuous objections to moving to Thursday (sorry OttoinGrotto yours wasn't strong enough), so it has been done. New draft time is Thursday at 9:30 to accomodate some who requested it a little later. I hope this still works for you all.

That's fine. I've been meaning to ask anyway, which one of you is looking forward to finishing in 2nd?

This works for me.

Edit: Just went to my team and it says the draft is at 6:30 pm tomorrow. Is it set for west coast times or is it just wrong?

Ugh...I did it from my phone and selected 9:30. I'll double-check from home later tonight but expect it to be at 9:30 EDT. Sometimes Yahoo defaults it's time to Pacific time.

We're at 10 right now. So we'd someone else to join up before tomorrow night, to join you. Any others lurking out there?

Defending champ weighing in here: You guys are going to show a lot about whether or not you can back it up during the draft tonight...so don't talk so much before you can back it up.

I will say that I crushed the league last season, and that's with taking Miguel Cabrera and not Trout at #1.

Better be ready to step it up.
