Cooley picked up Massoud.

That guy is doing work.
This is interesting because it had been rumored massouds list, which at the time was rather lackluster (GW was considered the leader) because he was looking to be a guaranteed starter and top option and p5 teams weren’t looking at him like that.

Ed Cooley is a smart man.
He knows when you're G-town, you don't have many options.

No Dickskin Dickinson means there’s more minutes for the front court. 42% from 3 ain’t bad for a bigger guy.

Here's a highlight tape I found. The first part of it, a big chunk, is against pre-season punching bags like Stetson; except that Fla. State started out 0-4. So, you see a lot of early season highlights, when he had some 6-6 games from the floor on a collection of dunks and put-backs.

But he has his moments later in ACC play, too. He's a big kid. Seeing his clips against Jesse, he did very well. Maybe this kid is better than he looks on paper.

Notre Lame Spring game?

Intriguing player. 7’4” is 7’4”.

I think a Hima video would look pretty similar, but maybe this guy is a step and some size better?

He’d be fun to watch with Judah, Chance, and JJ doing a lot of penetrating and him just waiting for oops when his man helps.

He looked like he enjoyed our zone.

Hit footwork looks good and shows a lefty and righty hook. He’s huge. He made Jesse look small. His game is very similar to Jesse. He runs the court ok too. Think of what Jesse looked like as a sophomore.

Yeah posted this a few weeks ago - these guys do a nice job with portal guys

90% of the time, he pivots to his right and uses his left hand, even when he gathers a rebound to dunk it. He's raw offensively, maybe not the leaper that Jesse is, but intimidating on defense in a different way, just because he's so damn tall.

With penetrating guards we may be better if with a center that gets out of the paint like Vanover from Oral Roberts who shoots 3s

It would be great if we had a choice. Maybe Carey will show us he's healthy and can score.

Hes enormous. He looks like he could swallow Jesse in two bites. Seriously this kid would be a solid addition lets hope it doesn't snow this weekend.

I wish we had more options. He’s enormous but not particularly agile. All his shots are within 3 feet. As a grad transfer for 1 year, maybe. But when we’ve already got 3 center projects…

That’s an interesting question.
With NIL, why does a player need a scholarship? Are there roster quantity limits?
Agreed. Now you can have a “walk on” that gets $500k in NIL that pays their own tuition/room/board and it doesn’t really matter what the scholarship limit is.
