Oh, this is a real job posting. I thought maybe it was a nerdy code name for a MLB or something.

I understand this in today's football recruiting frenzy, but -- somewhere -- Ol' Ben must be shaking his head.

Note to SU HR Dept: Do not hire the guy from Rutgers who poses recruits on a throne with an ax.
You may be underestimating the appeal of a golden throne to recruits.

Didn't they mostly just hire Digital Hyve and Jeff Knauss led the creative?
He sold the agency last year to a digital advertising firm in Rochester.

No. The football team had an in house person on staff.

Maybe so, but they didn't do all that work themselves. They hired an agency.

Perhaps the agency you are referring to does work for the University but the football department has their own staff for videography and creative content. In fact the athletic department has an inhouse digital media department.

I'm impressed. I would not have suspected that much of that work was done in-house. Way too edgy for a University marketing department.

Deon Maddox is sliding from HS relations to director of player development/alumni relations per Stephen Bailey.
Probably a better fit for him. Gotta be a nice raise involved too.

Congrats Deon.

We could definitely use an improvement in the relationship between the football alums and the program. Deon is well positioned to help make that happen.

Nice background. He was a very good player on some of our legendary 90s teams. Played with the Lions for a year, played in NFL Europe, has coached and mentored young men. Sounds like a great guy.

Glad the guy has a staff - that's a lot of responsibility and work for one person.
