OT - Minor annoying (on my part) correction - Bed Stuy is far closer to the Brooklyn Bridge than is Coney Island - it's the Caribbean heart and soul of the borough. Having lived for quite a while in the adjacent neighborhood of Ft Greene just felt a compulsion to point that out. Anyway fully on board with your sentiments! as an aside the billy Joel inspired negative popular take on Bed-stuy is rapidly becoming without merit - stuyvesant heights in the southeast corner of bed-stuy is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods you will find though unfortunately it is rapidly losing it's population of islanders as Brooklyn is rapidly and sadly transformed into a more urban version of westchester.
