Broyld and Estime Out, Along With Foy and Morgan.

We knew Estime was out and we can overcome Broyld, only some SU fans think he is a playmaker I doubt he makes the opposing OC lose much sleep. Bottom line is this team has very few playmakers and they have to continue to address that. We can, and will, win without Broyld this weekend

People who say Estime isn't explosive and a playmaker must have memory loss. Guy has been injured all year and has been playing a bum ankle.

I remember the punt return that won us a bowl game. That was huge.

What else should I be remembering though?

He's message board hype at this point.

Most explosive player on this team when healthy, and has made plenty of down field catches in key situations. Not so much this year as he has been out or hurt. I guess it's easy to forget.

Where does he stand moving forward if Lester moves the offense toward a double TE formation, I don't know.

When healthy, Estime is clearly our best playmaker.

We currently don't have a legit playmaker.

Obviously this play,

5. TD vs Central Michigan

There are more but I am not digging for them. The guy has played what 4 or 5 games healthy, second half of last season? Had 28 catches last year and averaged about 10 ypc. Thats pretty good for getting most of his opportunities from bubbles screens.

I like what I saw of him last year, and would love for him to become a big playmaker for us.

But some on here talk about him and Broyld like they've actually really been bigtime producers.

10 YPC is pretty basic. At this point, the hype that both Estime and Broyld get on here has not been warranted. Here's to hoping they both get healthy and produce the way many of you think they will.

10 ypc when 3/4 or more of your targets are bubble screens is damn good. Sadly I don't think we see him prove much this year, prolly won't be healthy rest of the way.

I know it's high school, but...

Avant has better hands than Broyld. Probably not as good in the open field but Broyld hasn't broke one yet either. I'd rather have sure hands hopefully he gets some more opps.

That's what the guy who throws him passes almost every day for 6 months said. I dunno.

I think you miss the point. Not that AJ doesn't know what he is talking about. But if the surest hands on the team is someone that dropped an easy touchdown pass, it doesn't say much for the rest of the teams ability to catch. Kind of like saying the person hitting .250 is the best batter on your team.

He is by far. It's actually not even close. Sure he dropped 1 pass in the endzone that hit him right in the chest. The other one was swatted out by the db.

The article on Syracuse.com says AB is only listed as questionable not out.

Lewis has dropped a couple, but he has made twice as many tough catches as any one else too.

He's been fine, but that second part isn't true.

I dont think its even close. West has made some good ones given 2-3 times as many chances, fleming has a couple, Ish has had 3-4 the last couple games before clemson, not sure any else has any. though the TE had a couple nice catches that were out of bounds.

if lewis catches the 2 tds he might have been the surprise of the whole offense this year.

No - judging a single drop vs. this seasons production and in practice from his QB and making a judgment about the rest of our receiving corp is exactly the point I was pushing up against.

Respectfully, submitted.

Well it's obvious that Lewis should catch the balls with his hands and not his chest.

I like the kid as a wr and if he is the receiving corps worst problem we will have a heck of a passes being caught.

So banged up but huge oline, banged up wr group, young athletic QB, and an overflowing RB stable... can we at least consider running the triple option?
