i wanted to be the first to post we have come full circle, back in 1991 when we ran Florida out of the building and made spurrier never want to leave Florida again for an out of conference game, to Hiring a former Florida coach to lead us back to that same prominence again, I hope this happens. If you never saw this kind of play at the dome or the type of speed we use to have you missed out. One of the loudest times i ever seen at the dome.

I miss the massive shoulder pads.

I was all about him 24 hours ago. He might be a great option, just hard mentally when you think you might get a guy who has won at the highest levels of college football as a head coach.
Mullen puts us more in the conversation with NCSU, Louisville and UNC where way may compete every few years for an ACC title. Its a dream that I hope comes true

I dunno if I'd go with "biggest decisions" - we've rolled football coaches after 2, 3, 5 years...
No It is. Because of the timing of what is going on in college football right now. That is why Bob would be a disappointment for me. He might be a great coach. But we have a short window to get this right or we could be regulated to the minor leagues forever.

Boosters? We are knocking Boosters now? People that all they do is donate money? If you don't like it, you could always throw some money in the pot.

You assume I haven’t thrown $$ in the pot? If you want to compare receipts, let me know.

By the way, my post was a question. The post I responded to essentially said what really matters is the boosters and Administration are all in on football. Is that what really matters? Or is the ability to close a deal and deliver what really matters?

If I had to guess, and please, it is only that, this is a ploy by Mullen to get everything he wants. Think about it. Last night it was MSU until they actually hired a coach. Now, it's B.C.. A school that he couldn't get all of the kids he wants in to the school. And one that still has a coach. We will see. At least we will know soon enough

Why not move the campus to south Florida?

Jokes aside, recruiting is key. Not an easy fix.
The NY/NE/PA talent level - the number of recruits - won't change regardless of our coach. (i.e. Penn State is a magnet for the top PA talent; other programs - as I posted - draw from local and also football hotbeds like the south, Texas, southern midwest, and so forth)

And the transfer portal, which has propped up our program, instead of driving it (i.e. like a technology company i.e. Computer Associates or Oracle living off of maintenance instead of new customers).

No. It was an insult to boosters. You notice I didn't say a word about administration. And you don't want to compare receipts with me.

I am less concerned about BC more concerned as to the possibility that Chesney is on campus right now.

My first game in the dome as a freshman. I still can recall the emotion and noise like a good kind of ptsd

That is why we need a name coach. Someone that moves the needle for recruits. I don't think Bob does that in anyway. Even with our own guys.

New coach needs to be able to keep guys like OG and Allen in the fold, or it’s a fail IMO. Unless he brings in better players, of course.
