Dan Mullen wasn’t on my wish list partly because I didn’t think he or the school would be able to come to an agreement. This is the most excited I have been since I went to watch McNabb play his last game in the Dome. If this doesn’t come to fruition I would be shocked at this point. Too many indicators that this is happening. Now we just need to give him time and hope it works out.

I want to know how we financially can afford him after years of saying we can’t pay top 20 rates. Dan Mullin is going to command a top 20 salary. Who is our sugar daddy

I was trying to be humble but the month of October was very promising for me. Won a $50 scratch off. Called adjw right away and told him “we got it like that now! Go get your man”

Reading his wikipedia page, if you squint hard enough you can see how this would make sense for him from a personal perspective.

If this happens, I take back every negative thought I've had toward ADJW.
I was thinking the same thing. I’ve been a big critic of JW’s. If he pulls this off I will charge my tune immediately.

Me waiting for Dan Mullen to be announced as the next football coach

I think it’s a matter of finally being backed into a corner with conference realignment.
If we are being left out of the realignment it feels like a massive investment unless we don’t know the final shakeout. In some ways this may be a positive development on that front. Maybe ND is hell bent on protecting us, Pitt, bc in whatever ultimate shakeout occurs

This Mullin investment has to be 20-30mm guaranteed maybe higher. I mean lane kiffin makes almost 10mm per

It's Mullen. Addazio, who is lame duck at Texas A&M, is coming as well. Don't be surprised if you hear Chris Rippon's name for one of those administrative Director/quasi-analyst positions. Tim Tebow, a former Syracuse Met, will be getting a sweat motivational speaker gig.
Not sure if trolling with the last line because I can see The Dazzler dazzling out our OL

Right this is the obvious answer. They know right now nobody wants us as the conferences consolidate. The ACC is protected by grant of rights, but for how long? There are repeated reports that a number of members are leaving and announcing soon. They all never seem to happen but the reports seem to indicate it’s coming. So it seems the university is doing what it needs to do to increase its realignment stock.

One thing I’m curious about is the pitch and how wildhack is providing context to the ACC future. Everyone has said we are dead man walking in 5 years potentially being left out of the big 2.

Mullin isn’t Chesney where this is a new opportunity up the food chain. For Dan this is a step down from the sec opportunity wise.

Not saying this as a negative but what does John know or what is he pitching him with regarding this. Cynic in me is mullin is a 3 year fix and he will either retire or go back to the BIG or SEC and this issue is irrelvsnt

Also how much money we talking. The narrative we can’t pay is bs if we are paying Dan mullin 5mm plus and whatever else for the bigtime assistants (another 3mm??!)
If UCONN can pay Hurley $6 million a year we can afford $5 million.

Probably Rob Konrad led group of former P guys
