Has played multiple positions from receiver and quarterback even to cornerback and safety. With his size and length, safety is the most likely position or a hybrid backer depending on the scheme. Looks the part as far as build and wingspan. Background of other positions allows for versatility. Has good ball skills. Between that and size, he will be able to match-up on tight ends, but can also play over a slot. Willing tackler who contributes in run support. Can still get faster at the top end.

Ok, but the last B1G "receiver" we got, that was moved to defense, didn't exactly help us last season. So many quality wrs were in the Portal, and most have already found new homes.
 
Also shows the value of not just expending open scholarships to add bodies in February, and the benefit of patiently waiting to see what shakes loose after spring practices with new guys entering the portal.

The portal can be of great benefit to Syracuse... but only if we're patient.

I bet Rocky made it a point of emphasis to bring in some talented bigger guys for the secondary. You can't play press coverage against ACC WRs unless you have big, athletic and physical guys in your secondary.

This gives us a chance to be successful. We were his first offer. He must have a good relationship with Coach Fisher as well.

What quality portal receivers out there that will come to Cuse and are better than Gadsden Alford and Jones? Those guys are in their second season in this system.

Good points. Jeremiah Wilson struggles against bigger Wr's. His skill set is better for slot corner imo.

Saw that the Burton legacy kid went to Auburn. We can't recruit over Pena in the slot? He's been so unspectacular; desperately need wr production there.
