Good catch on Gordon. Not happy about that. I was looking forward to adding him to the DL group. Hopefully that is just an oversite.

One of the reasons is that under Babers, players have to earn a single digit number. So when freshmen and sophs aren’t allowed to wear 0-9 you have to double up on the double digit numbers.

On his IG it says he plans to major in cyber security. I feel like that's a major where you probably don't have academic hurdles but who knows.
yea not like that its the most easily broken code base most if the time.. We have some real dingbats working on our security teams who are supposed to be experts on that stuff.

I didn't notice initially but it appears they have updated weights for the 2023 roster. Still says spring but weights are changed from last year. They just haven't added some Freshman and Transfers to the roster yet. I had always used Ellis weight as a benchmark when checking updates thinking his has to drop. But for some reason his has not changed. He stays at 375 lbs which seems off to me since he has looked lighter in recent summer pictures. But overall there is a great trend of guys adding weight and presumably muscle in comparison to last year. Wonder how much of that is because of the new nutritionist coming in and I also wonder if Rocky Long wanted the defensive guys bigger.

Lots of good positive weight change in this DB group. Absolutely love that Quan Peterson has made a massive jump. He should be very physical. I assume he's not moving to safety and is staying at CB as he is really needed there. Jeremiah Wilson adding 8 lbs is a fantastic change as well. These two weight gains could be enormous for us in 2023.

The DL group is interesting. Looks like they want to keep Chase and Nolton light and quicker over on their side of the line. Locket and Fuentes-Cundiff with good gains should help us hold up in the middle. Okechukwu even bigger at 276 now!

Ilaoa has got some real size in the middle now. Should be a big battle to hold off Reed for playing time. Petry now at 292 is now at least respectable weight for a back-up tackle. Joe Cruz adding 25 lbs and up to 302 is just awesome! Need him to develop into a contributor at Tackle.

Kalan Ellis still at 375 concerns me. If he could give 50 of those pounds to Kauhi, that would be a win-win.
Good to see Joe Cruz get to the size needed to play at the P5 level. He might surprise. Wish we had The General's weight too.

Also love that Jobity gained 16 lbs. At 263 lbs I expect some really nice play and growth from him this year. I'm thinking he may take over Okechukwu's starting spot on the other side in 2024 being that he is explosive at DE and also has some bulk that others don't have.
