Is Brown getting Boeheimed?

I actually thought Taylor was a waste of space for most of his time and couldn’t understand why Ajak wasn’t getting any 2nd half minutes. Taylor immediately hit two 3’s and made a few other good plays. Shows why fans don’t coach!

He played 27 minutes in our last game against Pitt.

Did you not see that game?
Do you not remember that game?

He also played 13 vs Cornell and 24 vs Monmouth.

What about yesterday?

It’s almost like JB doesn’t want rebounding.
Brilliant analysis. He played SIX forwards yesterday. Can’t play them all 30 minutes. Sat Benny for most of the first half and Brown was the first forward off the bench. Played 4 1/2 minutes and got the hook for JBA who brought his usual high IQ and energy until Benny came back and basically dominated the last 23 minutes of the game. Brown isn’t going to play the three, so if Benny is playing well his only path to extended minutes is if Benny can.

The fact that JB is willing to give everyone a shot to earn minutes is a good thing. the fact he is even willing to give them all a shot is a better thing.. He could be just rotating 2-3 guys around.. but he is playing the whole bench almost every game until he hopefully finds the 1-2 playing well that game.

So much over the years why doesnt he play the bench more. and now he is like crazy and complaints over why isnt one guy playing more..

too often the forwards are asleep on plays on both ends of the floor and with them all being equal he isnt taking 5-10 min to pull the hook..

Brown got pulled because he did nothing in his 4 minutes. JB was looking for someone to play well after we got out to the slow start. Benny and Taylor contributed after that so that‘s why Brown didn’t play.
Yep he missed a layup and didn't quite make an immediate impact like he has a few times in the past. And he wasn't going to go in once Benny turned it on. Nothing more to it than that.

Exactly. Most of us really like Maliq Brown, but most of us also watched the game and fully understand why Maliq only played four minutes yesterday.

Boeheim is playing the bench more than he ever has. This stuff is such nonsense. Just reflexive Boeheim bashing. The man deserves criticism (for lackadaisical recruiting, transfer portal disinterest, poor roster construction), but not for everything under the Sun and certainly not for this.

Lots of people attacking the OP but I don't think there's any question Brown should be playing more minutes

Yesterday he played enough. Everyone got a chance and boeheim played 11 in the first half. Once Benny got hot that was it for brown. The post made no sense after the game that just occurred.

Cuse

JB is subbing out of necessity, not because he wants to. He mostly sub for his forwards because he trusts them the least.

If he was subbing just to sub, he would play JT and QC at guard spots.

You are really going to argue with me about this?

The term "Boeheimed" means someone who has been relegated to the bench for a chunk of, most of or all of a season or multiple seasons. It has never been used in reference to a single game. You have been around long enough to know this.

If you wanted to complain about his playing time yesterday, and yesterday only, then don't use the term "Boeheimed". If you wanted to complain about his playing time over multiple games, you don't have a leg to stand on as he played the 4th most minutes on the team vs Pitt, the most minutes off the bench (along with Symir) vs Cornell and Monmouth.

And the guys he did not play for in the second half? One of them had the game of his career and the other hit two huge threes. One what BC stormed back to take the lead and the other to extend the lead to six. Brown is not doing that.

And we outrebounded BC so his physicality was not as needed yesterday.

If you are complaining about his lack of playing time yesterday, you are just looking for something to b!tch about.
