JB on McC

Paul Harris did get it almost as bad as Chris, and he ended up a shell of what he could have been... and left early to get away from here.
Paul Harris ended up exactly where his talent led him, an undersized forward with no shot and a poor attitude.

You know nothing. He will not even get drafted much less in first round unless his play improves dramatically.

Yeah, no. No matter how poorly his stats look his physical skills are more than good enough for a late 1st round team to pick him and stash him.

yes. an undersized forward who led syracuse in rebounding every year he played.

Lack of effort is obvious, JB is trying to lite a fire in the kid. Potential is there but he is not ding much.

Donte Greene was WAY better at this point. If we might wind up in the NIT anyway, at least give us some excitement. This stuff is just awful to watch.

Face it. CMac's gone, and JB knows there's no way to stop him.

All JB can do is push CMac for the next 3 months to try to get him better prepared for the inevitable.

Otherwise, he'll get eaten up and spit out next season.

The way to stop him is to not play him. Why do you think he's getting 20 minutes a game?

There are thousands of players in the world with a potential just as good, to get to the next level a player must show that potential can be realized, i.e. he must show the ability and willingness to maximize his potential. So far McC is not showing that he will put forth the effort to do that, therefore his draft status is falling, and will continue to do so until he demonstrates that willingness. The NBA is not in the business of unrealized potential

there are thousands of players who are 6'10" with a 7'2" wingspan, who run like a gazelle and have fluid athleticism?

SU fans don't have to like it, and they can plug their ears and tell themselves that McCullough isn't good enough or ready for the NBA, but the reality is that McCullough possesses an extremely rare and valuable skill set for the NBA. His lack of production very well may keep him out of the lottery, but the draft has very little return for teams past the middle of the first round. Some team will invest a mid to late first round pick on his upside, because even if he has a small chance of realizing it, if he does he is a top 5-10 in the draft talent.

If someone in the NBA thinks he has the potential then he will be drafted no matter what. Whether he is playing zero minutes or 40 minutes per game.

But if he's smart, he'll realize he needs another year or two of college ball.

Grant wasn't ready, but CMc is a few rungs on the ladder below him at his stage.

Agreed but I wouldn't even want to think what McC's thought process is at this point besides probably being extremely frustrated. Hopefully the NBA tells him to stay in school because they might be the only people he listens to.
