I have literally never seen video footage of that McRae shot -- does it even exist? 5th grade me had Catholic religion class that evening in 1993 and I missed the game. (Thanks, Jesus)

It’s a sad thing because it was a stunning moment. I had a friend who went to bed in disappointment because we had lost. The next morning I called him and he was in utter disbelief.

But here is another tidbit I remember. Conrad said that he had watched Laettner’s shot over and over. He thought it was one of the best, most exciting things he had ever seen. And then he did it himself. Like I said: magic!
