Go for it, and it's absolutely your choice to take a DE. I have been thinking of this too, for speed's sake, but still torn.

This is my vote (at least so far) for best value for round pick. Kid's a stud. I've used him a lot recently, and he is all over the field.

GREAT pick. I was going to take him a LONG time ago, but I thought we needed one safety and one corner, then I checked and saw we only needed one total. I was immediately sorry I drafted the safety so early when there were guys as good as Johnson just sitting out there.

I am very happy with my D, but my offense is significantly lacking. I could make it work if my defense steps up, but the offense won't be winning games without a lot of help.

One last surprise though. Although my next pick doesn't have that wow factor, it is much needed and pretty sure he is off limits to the people who pick in front of me. Almost solidifies my plans.

I would only deviate if Troop or IO take someone of high value to me in the other two missing slots.

So did I until I actually wrote down names as i was rolling through rosters after round 6. My draft matrix is at work so really not sure what other teams need but thought 0% that I would get both Ball and Smith.

Great pick of Baby Bruce, I left being online after my pick last nite. One thing I would recommend for next time is having 1-2 bench slots so if you see a good value pick on the board you can snag them for trade bait. We have seen WR and LB runs in this draft which some teams have used as strategy to wait on drafting certain positions. It would allow for strategy in drafting.
BTW, honestly everyone has drafted well, and the 8 of us really know Tecmo Super Bowl more than we should.
