Ahead of the transfer portal deadline, the NCAA has released some numbers proving that transferring is a risky move for most FBS football players.

Spring practices are over, so a bunch a players from a bunch of schools are going to be entering The Portal because they now know they aren't going to be getting much PT in the upcoming season.
There should be some type of reward for this type of mass exodus.
Plus they have to hurry and officially enter the portal before May 1st or they will have to sit a year.

Syracuse football hasn’t had anyone enter the portal since the spring semester started.
Spring ball ended more than two weeks ago and so far our roster is holding tight.
Come May 1st coaches will know who is out there that will be able to come in with immediate eligibility. I wouldn’t be surprised if we signed two more players from the portal, hopefully in time for the players to be on campus for the summer strength and conditioning program.

If a football player wanted to play this season, without sitting a year, they had to officially be in the portal on May 1st. I would say UMD is the winner .
