Class of 2014 Whitehead

How close is he to WWW?
Coney Island, BK protects their own investment. Like I said I don't believe he's a main target for them yet, so I don't think WWW is involved. Pitino has the best relationship with Lincoln out of all the coaches involved.

Ah, it could be interesting should UK decide they want him. At that point, it will be revealed that Whitehead's mother used to date WWW back in 3rd grade and have remained very close ever since, including WWW being Isaiah's godfather. Isaiah will say how he calls him Uncle Wes and has spent many a summer evening fishing in the Catskills with old Uncle Wes. Of course, there will be no physical evidence, such as photos of a young Isaiah and Uncle Wes, but it will be accepted by the NCAA as truth, and this will also allow for the generous gift from Wes to his close friend, Isaiah's mom. Sorry, got carried away there for a second.

No you didn't. It's more plausible a story than the twins getting on national tv saying they can't wait to go to school for 4 years at Kentucky.
Or how about this:
Dakari Jonson 2 months ago: Syracuse is my dream school and I will decide in Spring, no sooner.
(High school tournament in NJ and www shows up)
Dakari Jonson: On second thought, I will decide tomorrow!

NCAA violations investigator #1: Hey, maybe we should head out to Lexington.
NCAA violations investigator #2: Why, is it payday so soon?

zing zing zing :)

I think you are WAYYYYYYY off. They probably have direct deposit, no need to head to Lexington for their checks.

I wonder if Nerly regrets his decision?

Probably all true lol.

Btw, even if this post wasn't accurate, just the words "Uncle Wes" had me rolling.

Had early morning appointments so this was the only time I could do the articles.

OE,

I know many have said it before, including myself, but thank you for everything you contribute to this and all previous iterations of the board. Your efforts in keeping us SU fans informed is greatly appreciated.

Isaiah has 10 teams on his final list but wants to visit SU, UK & Louisville at the end of the high school season. Says SU's been on him since the 7th grade and he has been on campus several times. He said Louisville has recently been after him quite a bit and offered 2 months ago. He said Pitino's style of up & down fits him. He also mentioned that UK is UK they play hard are up & down & play defense.

Reading this thread got me wondering...when was the last time Pitino/UL legitimately "beat" SU for a recruit (i.e. someone who had both schools on their final list & chose UL)? The last player that I can recall is Telfair, as I'm not sure that there was ever mutual interest between SU & Kevin Ware when he transferred from Tennessee. Off the top of my head, I believe McCollough, Ennis, DC, Fab, & Devo all had UL offers. Hell, I believe Mookie Jones might've as well.

It's not Ville we're worried about so much as it is this.

@Isaiah_W15: Just Got Off The Phone With Coach Calipari ✔ #BLESSED

Attended the Lincoln/Boys and Girls game on Saturday... Whitehead was UNBELIEVABLE... This was the second time I've seen him live(the other being in a small gym in an AAU tournament where I couldn't get a feel for how good he was). First of all he has really gotten himself into great shape. I would guess he's lost 15lbs since a season ago. A year ago I wasn't so sure about his speed and ball handling... this year he's really improved both. I guess if you HAVE TO find something to improve on it would be his ball handling at the next level, but this is really being picky at this point. In fact, it's probably even dumb I just said that. He's at least on par with Lance Stephenson's dribbling abilities(Lance as a Senior). Great shooter with range, nice high release. Touch of a set shot if he's wide open, but not that it really matters. Gets all the lift he needs when he as to. The real eye opener had to be his passing. And I'm not even talking about the no-look passes that got the crowd to their feet... His just overall court vision is outstanding. His defense, and his teams', were unreal. At times they literally ran 3 guys at the ball. When they weren't pressing, he moved very, very well defensively. One thing I have to point out is how composed he remained. This is Lincoln/Boys, so you can imagine the atmosphere. For the first quarter of the game, the guy covering Whitehead, no. 20,(not sure of his name) continuously threw little punches at Whitehead's head. And no, not accidental, he was trying to get Isaiah to retaliate. He remained cool, although his teammate did not. He eventually stepped in and a fist fight broke out. Benches cleared and people from the stands poured onto the court. Anyway, Lincoln held a comfortable lead throughout, until Boys cut it to 2 in the third. Then Isaiah just took over and hit a one man fast break 3, followed by another 3 the next possession to increase the lead to 8. They would not look back from there. They ended up winning by 20, as the game was called with about a minute to go...another fight, this time in the stands. IW ended up with 28, 10 and 7......I find it extremely hard to believe that there at 40 better players in the nation. This is an NBA player who IMO is already better than Lance was as a senior at Lincoln. And I've only been hearing how his drive to succeed is second to none. He's the type of player you want with the ball at the end of games... Would love to see a little bit of Brooklyn in Orange.
