Remember in 07 (or 08) when all we had to do was beat a Top 10 GTown team to be in? And then we beat them soundly. Yeah. I'm just saying, any committee the NCAA puts together, whether selection, infractions, or bake sale is going to kick us in the jimmy at all possible opportunities.

The 07 team makes it with 35 from today and this year's team with 21 wins is a lock and 20 right on the edge.

Is it possible the NCAA was in fact waiting to see how our season went to see if this self-ban carried enough weight, and might have stiffened the penalty even more than whatever they hand out if we had finished further from the bubble? Either way I still feel bad for Christmas. As much as I like JB I'd rather him sit out a season or a couple of post seasons instead of this post season ***. This team looks capable of making a run with the number of guys who have stepped up of late. We've just taken out a 2/3 seed and and a 3/4/5 seed.

That assumes JB did something wrong. From what I know of this (not claiming I know close to 100%) its AD screw ups for the most part.

Eh, Clemson and Cal are about as bad as Wichita State was in 2007. I'd call all of them clunkers.

As some predicted in December, though, Syracuse does look like a Tournament team. Too bad it got taken away from the players.
