against the three teams that beat us up we ran

clemson. 66 plays 31 were passing 6 ypa
UNC 51 plays 23 passing 5 ypa
fsu 67 plays 31 were passing and we avg 4 yds per attempt ..

how many more passes would you throw? You have to try and get first downs dont you?

colgate 89 plays 37 passing 10 YPA
WMU 76 plays 39 passing 8 YPA
Purdue 78 plays 46 passing 7 YPA

Army 55 plays 26 passing 10 ypa

passing when you cant pass beats you in clock and TOP as well.

MTSU played Ala/Mizz and threw 35 passes..
when they played WKent/Jax/col st they throw 7-10x more a game.. They also run for 2-3 ypc..

maybe it matters how you can move the ball and how good the other D is.

I wouldnt say Shrader is athletic.. I would say he is elusive with decent top end speed.

He's definitely athletic. Shrader is a fast QB when he gets moving and elusive in the pocket because of his size and athleticism, but to me it seems he's much slower in the pocket than you'd guess based on the speed he can get to in the open field, if that makes sense.

BC was (and is) awful. We only needed to generate a little offense last year against BC to beat them.

Of course some will over play it .lol There's just too many moving parts/factors in football to say look what this team did against this team and we should duplicate that. Bottom line, they need to get better and it starts with GS and the O line. That determines what you can do schematically against certain players/schemes.
