That game reminded me of Akron-Syracuse 2008 home opener at the Dome. Akron 42 Syracuse 28 and he G-Rob era was going to be over. Purdue was beyond bad. Central Michigan could beat us if we don't play well.

Shafer had better have the defense working on wrapping up or Rawls will have a field day. Not trying to be a sour grape but the tackling was atrocious last week. I was cringing when Nova returned the punt for a touchdown and saw two missed tackles from not wrapping up. I hope we play much better agsind

Unfortunately we heard the same thing about the team "being ready" for Nova in week 1. At this point I need to see it on the field. Purdue is not a good team but CMU is no pushover, were going to need to be light years better then we were against Nova to win.

Yep their coach is GROB. Takes over a 6-6 team that got to a bowl and got trounced and immediately wins 1 game. I can't believe that 2015 kid from Illinois picked them over us. He might be crying right now. Then again he may start for Purdue next year

Yeah, CMU had all of 333 yards of offense.

If we're focused, we win by 3 TDs.

If not, then this is probably going to a much longer year than anyone could have predicted.

I watched most of this game... Purdue is a bad team. CMU will be tough at home... this won't bee a walk over for SU.

We should not lose to CMU... and based on other results from the first 2 weeks we have more than a fighting chance against Maryland, Wake Forest, Boston College, and NC State. None of those teams are great from what I've seen of them the first 2 weeks.
