we could be almost anyplace in there and we are 5-5. we have zero play makers.. was there on play on offense last night where we had someone make the D miss a tackle? a missed field goal vs rutgers, one defense stop vs uconn and catch two td passes away leading in the 4th from 8-2.. and we have no playmakers.. not one..
I have no problem blaming the recruiting for not being good enough.. but to blame play calling for dropped td passes, and not being able to run for first down when we need 2 yards.. WV was the only game the rcvrs really made catches..
you have to go back along time to find a play maker on this team other than Mike Williams that was actually recruited out of HS. Even Carter was more solid than a play maker.
with that we are still a 500 team that came out of a period of about being a .250 team. the first job is to be able to compete and win or lose we are in these games 8 of these coming down the stretch this year. the worst we will be is 5-7 and thats the 2nd best year in the last 8?
USF could easily lose to Miami, UL and WV
uconn should lose to UL and cinci,
if pitt loses today and WV none of those 3 would go bowling either..
florida,wake,TaM, Missouri, TT, Miss ST, Utah UCLA, Cal, NW, Miami could have 5 losses after today, those are teams that were thinking of the top 10.. Parity is making it easy to be solid and get 3-4 losses, every can compete, but there is not one team on that list trying to do it with less talent.
