2003 one shining moment-Where were you?

I was a senior in high school working the front desk of a Holiday Inn. Had a buddy of mine come over and we watched the championship on the TV in my bosses office. Not as glamorous as saying I was at the Superdome

In all my years of watching SU sports, or any other sports, I have never ever been more of a nervous wreck than the last 5-6 minutes of the title game. After going through hell in 1987, I just wanted us to win it and at least ease that '87 pain. I don't think i ever would have gotten over it if we hadn't held on.

In New Orleans at the game, sitting next to Tomcat. Obnoxious guy sitting next to us on Saturday night... was wearing a Texas tee-shirt. Same obnoxious guy sitting next to us on Monday night ... was wearing a Kansas tee-shirt.

So nice that he was a two-time loser

Just watched the last 5:00 again. I forgot that Kansas nearly tied the game twice in the last minute. Miles had an open 3 with about :55 left that was just short (it looked like it may have actually bounced in off the rim had Graves not interfered) and Hinrich had a 3 go in and out with about :14 left.

I didn't remember that our last 2 FGs in that game were by Edelin and Forth.
