2015-16 Preseason Top 5

UVA the Pitt of the ACC but they foul less and are much more likable.

I don't like this. First, it gives too much credit to Pitt. Second, saying "more likable than Pitt" is sort of confusing to me. That is like trying to multiply by zero and get 3. If you mean you don't have an irrepressible urge to see them licked by the flames of hell, then I guess I see your point.

Lsu, they lost their two best players, and they are Lsu

I fully support this sort of logic. Goes for nearly every SEC team. I don't care what kind of talent Auburn, LSU, or Tennessee bring in. They might even win 25 games. They'll be forgotten by the second weekend of the tournament.

Havent seen us ranked in any of the early polls, not surprising with the Mccuklough news obviously.

Kansas? Oh yeah, preseason is when they get their #1 rankings. Then it's all downhill from there baby.

They will be top 10 all year regardless of wins and losses and will be fighting for a 1 seed with 8-12 losses

The do have some nice recruits coming in, but they lost their two best players, and weren't all that great this year to begin with. I can see them being a borderline top 25 team, but top 5 might be a stretch.

Or if they schedule them in the acc/big ten challenge.

Wonder if Cuse gets paired with IU again in the TB game. B1G should be weaker next year and we're not getting Maryland, so it will be interesting to see who we are paired with.

This could easily be said about SU. The guys coming in aren't game changers. Nice players, but not Okafor/Jones level.

Edited: didn't see the top 5 part. I have a hard time seeing SU as a top-15 team unless some amazing transformations happen, possible, but lower probability.

I think Simmons is a helluva player, was talking about SU not LSU.

I would like to play Mich st, we haven't played them in a while.

that many losses will get a one seed?

I think were about where we were ranked last year, in the 21-25 range. If Dc2 is healthy, and the freshman play well, we could be a top 15 team.

I think we get Michigan or Wisconsin at the Dome next year in the B1G-ACC.

I bet we get Maryland @ Duke, North Carolina @ Ohio State, Indiana @ Virginia, Notre Dame @ Michigan State, Louisville @ Minnesota.

I'd like Wisconsin. Don't really want to play Michigan or Indiana again just to have someone new. Michigan State would be okay also.

When Kansas is on the front of your jersey you never know. 2 years ago they were getting consideration for a 1 seed with 10 losses.

I think we'll be further down the pecking order--maybe 6th or 7th. Illinois, Purdue?

where the is all this wich st love coming from? just because @sshat Marshall is staying put? Ron Baker? they'll obviously pile up a gaudy record playing in that farce of a conference - but they weren't that good this year and will be no better next year
Wichita is legit. Baker and Van Vleet are a great college backcourt. There isn't a coach in the country that wouldn't take them.

Unfortunately I think UVa gets Maryland again... at least this time it will be in Charlottesville... I loathe that school with all that is good... But the BiG and ACC will probably pair Duke/Wiscy or MSU ... UNC will get OSU maybe... ND & Indiana... Louisville & Mich... not sure where Syracuse will land here, but I'm going Purdue or MSU...
