That is their legacy pure and simple. With a flawed roster that had several useful pieces the team was able to reach the pinnacle of the sport.

We fans all got greedy once we got to the Final Four but our team was not better than North Carolina.

Good season and this is a season that will help the Syracuse basketball brand in the future.

Thank you to Michael Gbinije and Trevor Cooney for their careers wearing the Orange. Both were incredible leaders and helped this team reach the Final Four. Gbinije had the greatest leap in Syracuse Orange history from when he arrived to till he left and we have seen many others but his was the greatest. Cooney turned his legacy around from March 7th to April 3rd. All I will say is that his post-game press conference was an alltimer. With how he didn't care about his performance he just wanted the win pure and simple. That is what you want from all your players. For them to care as much as the fanbase and he clearly did.

Thank you to the rest of the team. If Malachi Richardson is gone no problem and thank you for your year on the Hill it was successful. He will always have the 2016 NCAA tournament to rest his place in SU BB history.

What we need in the future is more offensive. We can't have 3 offensive threats on the floor. Syracuse needs 4 offensive threats on the floor at all times. Since 2012 our offense has been the Achilles heel of the program. Jim Boeheim is a dominant coach but his offense doesn't have to be the same it has to be tailored to the talent he has. If this team could average 75 PPG against P5 it would win the NC. Our team needs a new offensive system or these recruits better be ready.

Nice post. It was a great and fun season. Fan morale and SU visibility grew exponentially in the last few weeks. I feel great for Gbinije and Cooney, but I'd like to see JB get one more NC. Some our most talented teams didn't get to the final four while some of those that have gotten there did so mainly by grit and determination. The team made an unexpected deep run and made us all very proud and thankful. My cup is full. Well done.

Don, I am with you 100%. My cup is also full. And the women have yet to play!

A team that was begging to be forgettable suddenly became unforgettable. And our hearts leapt!

from the student section last night, hilarious. I agree with everyone here, what a season. I would have never imagined we'd get as far as we did. I love SU basketball
