There were rumors, who the hell knows what is true, that Houston wanted to put a huge buyout on Kiffin's deal. They knew the guy would bolt in 5 minutes for a bigger job if he could. Hope Applewhite does well and I am sure Ed O is very happy, he should have himself an OC now.

As far as Charlie Strong, great fit for him and USF if that happens. He will do really well recruiting down there again, which doesn't help us, but plenty of great Florida athletes to go around.

Strong at USF would hurt SU. But, he may hurt Miami, FSU, and Florida more, taking 3 & 4 stars from the other state programs.

Think you hit the nail on the head about Kiffin. I had a feeling once UH put that clause in there he was going to balk cause of his track record.
