He's going to be the leading goal scorer in NCAA history when all is said and done, not counting Greer's 5 years.I’ve never understood the Guterding love.
Have to agree with Carcaterra - Teat belongs on that list. Finished with 37 goals and 59 assists for 96 total points. Compare that to Connor Kelly (40 - 33 - 73) or Pat Spencer (31-55-86) both of whom did less while surrounded with better talent. Can't help but think they are punishing the kid because he's only a sophomore.
And don't get me started on Baptiste - he had another great year but finished a distant second to Ierlan in every category. Plus, Ierlan did it while facing a much tougher schedule (Albany SOS #5 - Denver SOS #17).

I agree with you 100%.He’s a great finisher. I just don’t see him as the best player in the game. I’ve never seen him impose his will on a team the way other dominant attackmen have (Reeves & Teat).
And I’m prejudiced against record breakers in today’s game because they play more games and use sticks that require less skill than players from older eras.
(Now get off my lawn)
I remember that 2002 year - odd year in that there were no real stand outs on any of the big name teams (other than Conner Gill at Virginia and he was primarily a feeder). Mikey stats were so much better than everyone else that year even though they weren't necessarily eye popping. His senior year (2004) was off the charts but there were actually quite a few really good players that year. But the thing he had going for him was that no one passed the eye test like he did going back to his very first game at Syracuse.Mikey Powell won the award as a Sophomore. That should not preclude his inclusion.

He’s a solid attackman but I don’t see him as a player who dominates or takes over games like others on the list or Teat.
I think Baptiste is a little more than a traditional Fogo but fogos should never make this list.
I don’t care if they never lose a face off. I loathe the whole concept of the fogo. It’s the only reason I would accept taking the ball out at your defensive end line after getting scored on (like basketball).
I don’t see those in charge rolling back the idiotic stick head configurations they’ve allowed so they need to do something to minimize the idiocy associated with specialized skills like fogo.
Or just get the shot clock going and be done with it!
Reeves had a big numbers game in the Ivy Championship against Cornell. Teat and Reeves were head to head in comparable stats albeit goals vs. assists. Teat completely took over in the second half. Reeves certainly has big stats and does have a big impact on Yale. The tournament will be telling. If Yale does not make it to championship weekend my guess is that it will hurt Reeves chances at the Tewaarton.I agree with you 100%.

my eyes always go to the sophs and juniors nominated. these are the problems (the kilalua fissures if you will) we have to deal with in the future .Mikey Powell won the award as a Sophomore. That should not preclude his inclusion.
