DL for Gleybar
Agree. You know my feelings on the 1 game elimination playoff. It's not who is the best/better team, its who has the best number one pitcher. Obviously anyone can have a bad game, but more times than not the team with the better ace will win. I could see the Yankees/or Sox losing a wild card game 3-2 against Verlander or something like that after winning 100 plus games this year. They lose that, they are done. I get the excitement, just doesn't seem right to me after such a long, grueling season.Do Yankees fans feel like the competition in baseball is really down this year?
I mean the Yankees and Red Sox are both likely going to win 100 games and could conceivably play the Astros in a 1 game playoff if Houston slacks with Seattle on their heels.
I mean the AL sucks so much Seattle could beat enough of these crappy teams and win that division.
Have him swing by Tampa in the off day here...to pick up his bats that he apparently left there after spring training.
The balance of power isn’t quite to NBA 1 or 2 team only levels, but it’s getting there.Do Yankees fans feel like the competition in baseball is really down this year?

Today, 17 of 30 teams are at .500 or above. That feels normal to me.Do Yankees fans feel like the competition in baseball is really down this year?.
I guess that is right but teams like the Rays and Angels aren’t good.Today, 17 of 30 teams are at .500 or above. That feels normal to me.

I'm still hoping Sterling loses the Stanton HR call at some point
With the Yankees in "win now" mode, I don't see them doing anything that weakens the current line up. Despite Sanchez's struggles, I still want him down the stretch over Romine. If the Yankees truly want DeGrom, they have enough pieces in the system to get him without sacrificing this year's major league roster. My guess is that they will acquire someone that costs them less instead.Would the Yankees trade Sanchez if it was part of a DeGrom trade?
Yankees need a legit 2nd starter to have enough depth to win it all. With the Yankees in "win now" mode, I don't see them doing anything that weakens the current line up. Yes, I don’t think they’ll be willing to pay that price.I don’t know the Yankees system that well but to get him I think they would have to pay a good price.

Tanaka elevates in the playoffs.Yankees need a legit 2nd starter to have enough depth to win it all.
Tanaka is too hot or cold and could blow up in a playoff spot.
CC is a good game 3 starter.
Game 4 is perfect for Tanaka.
DeGrom is the guy the Yankees should be targeting. Happ isn’t a difference maker he is more solid than anything.
Hamels back to Philly makes too much sense.
It’s DeGrom that is the difference maker.

Yeah, Andujar's a keeper.Trading for Mike Moustakas Would Give Yankees Insurance to Trade Miguel Andujar for an Ace
They better not trade Andujar.
That’s not fair, our 3rd string catcher only hits home runs!Catcher is not a position in which the Yankees have great organizational depth, which is why they drafted like ten of them this year.
