Stanton coming back?
03-rotfl.gif

Tauchman has been up and down a few times this season. He's fine.
Stanton will make a miraculous recovery once this heat subsides.

Couldn’t remember if Tauchman was hurt or sent down.

Hey, what's the purpose of that little tab some batters have been wearing on the thumb of their top hand?

Anyone? Anyone? Beuller? :)

If not for the yankee injuries, SWB would be undefeated.

Haven’t read much of this thread but Stanton can stay hurt for all I care. Wasn’t a fan of him last year and still not a fan of him now. Other guys fill roles better and add value in other areas. Stanton is a one-trick pony.

Frazier is down due to service time. He will be back up on August 25.

which of these do you feel is likely to happen for the rest of the year?

Tauchman hits 1 more HR
Encarnicion hits 1 more HR
Didi hits 3 more HRs
Maybin hits 5 more HRs
Romine hits 5 more HRs
Ford hits 8 more HRs
Stanton hits 9 more HRs

I read somewhere that if they wait until September to bring him up that gives them an extra year of control.
When he was sent down this year, it was reported that he had ‘2 options’ left.

I do not think after September counts.
Tough to argue that Frazier is an upgrade over Tauchmann.
at least now we know Tauchman can hit a HR outside of Yankee Stadium.

Not sure Camden and the O’s pitching staff helps to strengthen that, but it was nice to see!

I believe you’re correct that a call-up when the rosters expand does not count against the limit. With the number of others who had been called up, I assumed that they had reached Frazier’s limit and any more would trigger some really messy roster moves.

Frazier only played 39 games in 2017 and 15 games in 2018 before he was shut down with injuries. Not sure if they can count both as option years. The rules are hard to follow.

Since he's already been up and down in 2019, there's no reason why he can't come back up. You need 172 days to qualify as a service year. He's only played 53 this season, even if he gets called up tomorrow he can't get to 172 this year.
