IOC sets four-week deadline on Games decision

The International Olympic Committee said on Sunday it will make a decision whether to postpone the 2020 Tokyo Games at some point in the next four weeks.

This is the worst of all the sports we lose for me. I love the Olympics so much. I was even going to take my vacation for when they were on to maximize my time watching.

In the present circumstances and based on the information provided by the WHO today, the IOC President and the Prime Minister of Japan have concluded that the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in Tokyo must be rescheduled to a date beyond 2020 but not later than summer 2021, to safeguard the health of the athletes, everybody involved in the Olympic Games and the international community.

I love the Summer Olympics but this decision was about as inevitable as it could be. I just can't visualize how getting fans, athletes and media from all over the globe into one place even in 4 months seems like a good idea.
